My blogger is rebelling.

If you can tell, its gone all bold and for the life of me and my limited html skills, I can't figure out why. I've corrected and checked all by boldings but its still *fwacked* up. No more bolding. Damn.

Credit: glitterdollScared my Psych teacher today. After being told on Thursday that we needed to do all this crap new difficult calcuations of uncertainty for our pracs which I decided to take the intiative and do EARLY for once, the next day I get an e-mail telling us we only needed to do a quarter of the work I did.

*goes into corner and screams into wall*

Anyway, I chucked a *spazz* in Psych and totally freaked Mr. M and my collective group. Jen was all ready in a piss with him but I even frightened her. Good god joy. Lots of people are short-tempered lately but I've kept my cool mostly. But that just blew my top. I hate it when that happens. Or perhaps its my collective rumblings after last week and NOT getting CATSEYE. Yargh. Caps off to UMAT.

Chem, we started our biochemistry option in which I opted for doing nothing but trying not to be hungry. Steph laughed at me the entire time because we were talking about carbs and foods and what we should and shouldn't eat. And then today in Psych we spent the lesson on the eating disorders. Mmm...I want another quiche.

Designer: Mark MontanoOh. And I want hair like this? I am obscessed with curls at the moment...especially when my hair is rebelling too. It doesn't want to sit down and talk. It doesn't want to lie down and try cartharthis. No it just wants to sulk and be an all around prat. ARGH! I love her hair. And I love this designer, cept for the fact this model's chest is falling out of her do.

Other news??
My mouth is coming along nicely. Doesn't hurt half as much and the *side effects* haven't side-effected. I'm quite happy. Now leave me be. I have to spend 800 mb left of my 10 gig and I need to do it in 2 and a bit hours. Well it won't take long...*rubs hands together evilly* Muahahaha.

Current Mood:There are no stupid questions, only stupid inspirational statements.- Heidi Dixon Aggravated
Current Action: Finding nothing on Brown, who did this psych thing, in some year that is imperative to my IA that I'm writiing up now. Ugh!

Researching for my IA at close to 12 at night. Well...well...no difference there. Now who is the Queen of Procrastination? Me, darl.

Well, as sickly and dumb as I am (no not mental dumb, mouth dumb or maybe voicly dumb or some other techno-mumbo-jumbo), I did the UMAT. Yes, yes. Now I have the experience of doing a UMAT. Not as hard as I thought, though I'm not so confident about it as I was the GAT. Silly me, should worry more. Feeling too unconcerned atm.

What was most exciting, in that I almost laughed out loud in a completely silent room (bigger than four of your assembly halls), was that there was a passage from Cat's Eye in it and only two days ago I was thinking, yes, I never have to deal with that book again. And then, bang, I got it in my UMAT. Someone up there...or down below is looking at me and smirking/smiling bemusedly. Yargh.

Mary sent me loads of ComicCon vids. As funny as they come. Although she only sent me LOTR and Lost. Em wanted Sin City but her darling boyfriend didn't show, so poo to her. But mine didn't either. Pooie. Only three showed for the LOTR one, which was Daisy (David), Billy and Porras (producer!). The others couldn't be bothered or had 'scheduling conflicts'. *rolls eye* Right.

Lost was a little btter. Dom Monahan, a star of the show, turned up which was basically why Mary got the vids. He's okay, but I was more interested in that this was the new J.J. ABrams (Alias, Felicity) and plus it had the most expensive pilot ever. Ever. Nifty, as Anna would say. Well not really. Its a clash of a soap and Survivor. Everyone looks hot, even when they've just crashed, are starving and trying to survive on an island, vulnerable to all the elements. Makeup please!!!

In other, LOTR related news...Sean Astin (Sam) is going back to NZ to film a small-sized Hercules series. No, not the Kevin Sorbo one...oh that reminds me of a quote:

Ares: I can't believe you have these mortals convinced that you're this "Kevin Sorbo" character.
Hercules: Some people just aren't ready for the truth.

Hehehe. Oh, and that Ares dude that always used to hit on Xena died during an injury on set in Bejing. Sad, no?

Off to bed and more work. Night.

Well...well...I'd never think to see this picture. Actually, surprisingly I think they look good together. Or maybe that's because I just like Jake Gyllenhal. Believe it or not, (not!) I'm looking forward to this movie although the plot sounds weak. Mmm...he looks so goregous, you could just cover him in caviar and slip into something more chocolately...yum.

Who's there? What Ho?

Okay, this layout is all ready pissing me off. I'm changing it. Its so not aesthetically!pleasing.

At the moment I am sitting in the library. It is currently 9:07 and I am very tired. I am yawning in fact. It is because I have a first period off and I am here. WEll, actually I have never taken a first period off because I'm always doing homework in that spare. Not today. I'm studying for my big fifteen minute *goggles* oral I've been stressing about all week. And its on Friday. Yargh.
Yes. Friday.

I wish Ames were here. She always manages to console me, calm me down with only a few words. Its very reviving.

Anyway, what's there to talk about? Has anyone heard of the newest Darren Hayes song? Popular. I've got it in my head and its pissing me off, that and an MC Hammer song. Let me tell you. Both are very annoying. I wish I went to bed earlier last night.

Is it me or are all my posts at school the most boring things in the world? Ugh, I bet you I'm going to miss my TOK meeting today. Bet you. And I promised her a draft but no-go, didn't do one. Probably because I am a lazy bastard. Yes, yes. *nods*

Wow, who's self-deprecating. Me. Yes, me. Okay, okay. Back to study. I've had my fun.

Me: *humming* I want to be popular...I want to sleep my way to the top...I want to be popular

Movie NEWS

Okay, First off. SEQUEL To Italian Job. No not the 1969 Michael Caine version, the 2003 Theron/Wahlberg thing. Well, I liked it. It was good fun without actually seeing the original. Something you can watch any day. Not spectacular, thought it must have cost a trifle. And its a movie I actually like Wahlberg in. I always liked Theron, even before she was famous-oscar-famous. Anyhoo...trivia about the Italian Job. Since there were no stipulations in the original contract for a sequel, that woudl involve more negotiations, expensive negotitations considering the now-Oscar-win of Theron. And of course, there was the famous fuck-up of Paramound around NOrton. Edward Norton signed a three-movie-contract deal with Paramound after Primal Fear and now, a few years later, Paramound forced Norton to play the villain role in the 2003 Italian job. Not good idea. Don't ever FORCE an actor to play a role. He was bloody good...but...Anyway, Parmound tried to make amends but...hell, it didn't work. Gifts were sent back to Paramound, unwrapped. Oooh, cold. Anyhoo, the next movie will probably have Theron or Wahlberg with a whole new set of characters off for one more job, hopefully not in Italy.

I'll do more later in the week. Nearly end of period as I have taken break to write more. Argo. See ya later dudes and wish me luck. I need it. Eee.

In case you hadn't noticed, THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY has been shooting since mid-April and even has its OFFICIAL SITE up and running with blog-fever, much like many others on the Net. The cast includes folks like Sam Rockwell, Zooey Deschanel, Mos Def, John Malkovich, Warwick Davis (aka Willow), Bill Nighy, Martin Freeman (as Arthur Dent) and others and if you're ultra-geeky, CLICK HERE to check out a 30-second video clip of first-time director's Garth Jenning's first shot of the movie. The official site also includes an interview with the film's writer, a couple of pics (check out the square-wheeled bike below) and more to come soon. Click on the bike to head on over to the site right now and start the countdown to its release on June 3rd, 2005. Thanks to 'Smitty' for the head's up...

Nothing excites me more than an adaption of a book I've read (okay, I only read a little! but tis exciting, nonetheless) and a fucking awesome CAST. Believe me, this is exciting. Anything that features the works of Malkovich, Davis (who I love above all!), Billy Nighy, Rockwell and Descanel (i love that last name!) rocks my fucking socks, man. Really. Woo. *dances*

GAWAIN: You're so right, TRISTAN. It's going to be awesome being free.

LANCELOT: Man, I hope they keep their word, DAGONET.

ARTHUR: Why wouldn't they, LANCELOT?

LANCELOT: I dunno. Just a feeling I get, ARTHUR.

BORS: My cock is really big and I have twelve kids!

EVERYONE: . . .

LANCELOT: Eleven, Bors. You have eleven. And five of them are mine.

EVERYONE: BWAHAHAHAHAHA

Oh and about the movie? Personally I like what Mr Crank says:

"Frankly, given this film's flimsy attitude toward history and producer Jerry Bruckheimer's name on the credits, I was waiting for the scene where a couple of horses run over a cliff and explode on the way down. Sadly, no such luck."

Only true (or semi) movie buffs would get this. Heheh. That reminds me about the corny computer jokes off SNL's 'Nick Burn's: The Computer Guy', portrayed by veteran comic Jimmy Fallon (see him on MTV tonight). Hilarious dude. HIm and Chris Kattan. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!

Yes, its offical. Today is my anniversary, or better yet, this blogs anniversary.
Wow. We've survived. So I'm going to make a list of all the crazy, awesome things I've done in the past year. (Don't worry, it'll be short)

1) Made friends. (oh yeah! Crazee, dude.)
2) Made more than one, notice plural.
3) Realised my one true passion.
4) Really begun a true crush. And its not the one you think.

Ames: Its not Patrick Stewart?
Me: NOO!
Me: And...EWWW!

5) Begun this blog. Its really helped my moodiness.
6) Realised my true friends.
7) Taken public transport BY MYSELF! (Ames/Em/Mary/Jen: WoAH! Ames: That's some crazy shit!)
8) And finally, made amends.

So here I am. A year older, certainly more mature and more childish (my emotional age is six) but yet I'm still here, despite all the suicide threats to Em.

Em: yeah *reminisces* the good ole days

Yeah...anyway, I would have done a big celebratory post but its almost nine and I still have a Psych IA to finish, Chem Assignment due in and Chem study on Exothermic shit (its re-study from last year). Don't worry though, lassies. Mel's not broken yet.

Current Music: The Wallflowers - I started a joke (OST Zoolander)

There really is nothing on telly right now. That life expectancy thing, 60 minutes with that belgium molester. God, the police are so inept. Poor excuses too. Oh, and Monica and Ashalea (pronounced Ashley, cept for big brother) are out. So nothing big happened. Well, not really.

Reading Jo.Blo and talking to friends. Funnily, I found this pieces of news associated with Vanity Fair and hah, I totally agree.

What ever happened to Ryan Phillippe? Seriously! The man was poised to be one of the hotter young actors back in the year 2000 (with CRUEL INTENTIONS being his jump-off point), a little while after he married actress Reese Witherspoon and the next thing you know...he does only 3 movies in the next 3 years and seems to be surfing on his wife's coattails and taking care of their two kids, while she goes out and makes the big bucks ($15M for the horrible LEGALLY BLONDE 2) Dude...you're a swell actor with an odd way of speaking and nice hair...get back in the game, will you! Let Reesey take care of the kids for a while, otherwise they'll grow up and resent her for it...trust me, I know the feeling. I was brought up by my uncle and every time I watch SOUTH PARK: THE MOVIE, I still get the chills. Anyhoo...all that to say, check out Witherspoon's latest starring role poster in VANITY FAIR (if you look closely, you can see Phillippe's dreams being dashed in the reflection of her eyes).

Not to mention being totally hunkster!meat. Even now. Checked out his near-naked body in gossip mag. And totally cool dad, taking little Ava to the beach. Yum. I adored him in Cruel Intentions and based him on my vision of C.C's Draco. V. Draco-like. (Check Trailing Along for upcoming review of Vanity fair, btw). Actually, I've only seen him in two recent films. Igby goes Down and Gosford Park and he was excellent in both. But apparently he's got a new film coming up. Yayness.

Will, will you be starting on Bewitched next?

Ferrell: We won't be starting until September 21st. And we're kind of working with Nora Ephron on the script a little bit.

It's a very different interpretation, isn't it?

Ferrell: Yes. It will be done in a Kabuki theater style. We're very excited. We're going to have to learn Japanese. Which, I don't think. People say it sounds like a huge leap we're making.

Rudd: It's not. I'll help you.

Ferrell: I'm going to work with Paul.

What do you think you can teach Nicole Kidman about comedy?

Ferrell: Uh. You know. I'm not really familiar with Nicole Kidman as an actress. I've heard that she's done some great stuff. And I hear that she's got a cute little rear end on her. But, aside from that, I'm not really familiar with her.

Saturday, July 10

I remembered what I was going to post. It was the d&m thing.

For the previous number of nights, I haven't been to bed earlier than 3, yes 3, a.m. Now that seems strange but its true. I've started to be frightened of sleep.

Anyway, last night I had this most horrific dream. It was what some might call a 'friend-mare'.

So I'm at this royal galla or what not, on my computer. And why I didn't realise this was a dream, I don't know. WE coudl always stick to the theory that we accept the reality that is presented to us because we are always seeking security and ignorance (except for those few curiousity-did-not-kill-the-cat).
Anyhoo, Carman, Sue and a few other people were also there. All on their computers too. Chatting away. [Okay, this is a bit garbled because I've forgotten most of it, thanks to my lovely far-from-retentive memory] However, they start chatting to one another, without me. Now up till now, everythings been good (i won't relate to you earlier moments because some are embarassing and i've forgotten the rest} yet suddenly, their conversation starts popping up onto my computer.

Car: I hate Melissa. I really wish she would just leave us alone.
Sue: Yeah. Me too.

Somehow I smile. DOn't say anything and I'm about to walk away. But the betrayal is too much and I just snap. *clicks fingers* Like that. I smash the table, throw the computers off and begin accusing them, yelling at them. Something, btw, I would never do, hence the dream-like eleviated state. I accuse them of betrayal, lies. And they just sit there impassively, staring back, never denying it, not trying to quieten me. Sue's face is pinched. Carman's is angry. But I keep on screaming. The whole gala is quiet.

I finish. Completely vented. And Carman just looks back, she looks tired and only mildly annoyed. But there's this smugness. A smugness I've never seen on her face before, but on someone else's that I've always seen and I start to begin to get clammy with fear.

Car: Now you know. What'cha going to do about it?

And then I flee. Crying. Feeling absolutely betrayed. It gets a bit hazy after that. But the crazy thing is, I completely believed in it. I can still feel the remnants of emotion now, curdling at the base of my stomach like the food I had last night. Perhaps its the betrayal. Perhaps its that smug look, the intermingling of Carman's face with hers. I don't know. Or perhaps its the fact that I could believe in it, that I could believe that they were capable of that, they are capable of doing it right now and I have no idea. Carman? Sue? Its crazy but I believed in it. I was exposed there. It seems stupid now, and I laugh at it, but its a nervous laugh because there's psychological truth behind it. The laughter is the thin ice facade, barely incarcerating the fire behind it.

I don't want to sleep anymore.

Current Music: Salerosa Chignon - Malaguena (OST Kill Bill 2 Soundtrack)

Debajo de esas dos cejas
Que bonitos ojos tienes.

Ellos me quieren mirar
Pero si tu no los dejas
Pero si tu no los dejas
Ni siquiera parpadear.

(Check here for translation or you can ask me, coz you know *dusts self* I know ENOUGH spanish to translate most of it. Although I got a bit weird around Pero...But yes you don't something...ugh!)

I think I listen to too many soundtracks. Damn Kazzaa. They have nothing from Eternal Sunshine. Cept for Beck. Got all of Zoolander and Spiderman.
Meh, I have to do work-o! What is with putting 'o' at the end of all my sentences? Its like I'm suddenly Fonzie, cept its not 'mundo'.

You know whenever I'm depressed I do a number of things. And I just discovered a new one. Watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Its got so many beautiful, optimistic, warm tingly bits its impossible not to feel completely filled and hopeful. I love that movie with a passion that's beyond and different to ROTK and any of its predecessors. I just love the line:

(refering to the lovely memories being erased of him and Clem)
Clem: Its going to be gone soon. What are we going to do?
Joel: Enjoy it.

Ah...*fills with warmth like grinch* I can just feel my heart growing. Tho, terrible movie. For some weird reason, those books always frightened me.

More later...dinner first, darlings. And at least...some work. I still have O.C. and the final ep of Alias to watch. ARGH! And I have to go out tommorow with Sarah. YARGH!

Current Mood:Love is a perky little elf dancing a merry little jig and then, suddenly, he turns on you with a miniature machine gun. - Matt Groening Gloomy
Current Music: Stupid - Sarah Mclachlan

How stupid could I be
A simpleton could see
That you're no good for me
But you're the only one I see

Love has made me a fool
It set me on fire and watched as I floundered
Unable to speak
Except to cry out and wait for your answer
But you come around in your time
Speaking of fabulous places
Create an oasis
Dries up as soon as you're gone
You leave me here burning
In this desert without you

O.B. news

I know I haven't posted this in a while. Remember my trial during the hols? Well, this one went better. Possibly because I was more focused on work.

First off, is not of the typical O.B. news, more that its associated with him. His (step, if you know the gossip) sister, Samantha Bloom, (uglee!) is going to be involved in the new Pride and Prejudice (that is in pre-production, now) coming out with Keira Knightely. But back to O.B., he was considered for A MAJOR LEADING ROLE (Mr D? *dies*) however due to other commitments, has had to forgo. ARGH!
Second, Orlando will begin filming "Elizabethtown" with Kirsten Dunst (I think!) after taking over from Ashton Kutcher on July 22.
Thirdly, filming for Haven and Kingdom of Heaven have finished. And both are in post-production! 304 days till KOH!! Wooo!

I think that's enough. Shall I post a pic just to keep the fan girls sated? No, that would excite them...*sigh*

My arm aches. ACHY! I played badminton yesterday for an hour straight. OWWW! I can't move my arm much and it keeps shaking of its own accord. Ow. It even hurts to type. And then mum payed me to wash both cars...except I did it down at the local, diy carwash. Fun, except now my arm aches even more. oooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhh...okay, that REALLY hurt! Brb. Need another pain-killer. I dropped a glass of orange juice because it hurt so much. And its so weak. Weaker than usual. Ow.

Oh, and mum's back with the lunch...now, grr!

Current Mood:SLEEP: That fleeting moment just before the alarm goes off. Exhausted
Current Music: I am - Killing Heidi (OST Spiderman 2)
Current Read: White Teeth

I am out on my own
Moving in shadow
Nobody knows who I am
Standing alone
And its me, but you can't see who I am?

Reading White Teeth right now, actually.

[Entre' -> Irie and Magid are discussing jeans, thus presenting Irie's exemplar, Magid being a complete pain in the arse.]
"They shrink until they fit, Magid. That'll be my guess."
"But Joyce was percipient enough to buy them in precisely the right size, you see? A 32, 24."
"All right, Magid. I don't want to see them. I believe you. So don't shrink them."
"That was my original conclusion, also. But it appears there is no separate procedure to shrinking them. If one washes the jeans, they will simply shrink."
"Fascinating."
"And you appreciate at some juncture the jeans will require washing?"
"What's your point, Magid?"
"Well, do they shrink by some pre-calculated part and if so, by how much? If the amount was not correct, they would open themselves up to some litigation, no? It is no good if they shrink to fit, after all, if they do bit shrink to fit me. There is another possibility, as Jak suggested, that they shrink to the contours of my body.Yet how can such a thing be possible?"
"Well, why don't you get in the fucking bath with the fucking jeans on and see what happens?"

According to Sue her favourite part. Nmmm...funny though. Funny, warm tingling. Yummy stuff. And Christopher Simpson (hah Ames! I got his name before chu!) is so damn hot. Dammit. And talented to boot. Argh. Having read a Zadie Smith (the comical novelist and a Cambridge graduate, and pretty, I hate her) interview, I absolutely love her. Plus:

ZS:I just found out about PBS, because I have a TV in the flat I'm renting. I've watched The Forsyte Saga about fifteen times now..

Aahhh! The Forsythe Saga! Fifteen times! *dies* Yes, I said *dies*. Oooh...*squiggles*

Saw Spider-man. 2. Yeah. Well, Ebert gave it four...out of four. *eye pops* ROTK got a measley three. What is going on here? Usually he's great with movies.

*reads and muses* Well, oaky...it was a good movie. I don't know why I can never work out when its a good movie or not. It took me two weeks to realise that POTC was a fun, comical, legendary film. I don't know what's wrong with me.
Actually, it was a good movie. It was a complete surprise, I suppose that why's I'm still dumbfounded now. I completely adored the 'raindrops keep falling on my head' part. And I suppose that was the focus of the film, Peter Parker and the burden of Spiderman and thus the toll on his personal life. How do super-heros live? Bruce Wayne was some multi-millionaire, but on the other hand, he had a whole company to run. What about Clark Kent and his job at the newspaper? Its hard. And perhaps even worse for Parker because he's still a kid, searching for himself, love (MJ) and his friends and family (Osbourne and May) and still coming to terms with scars of childhood and insecurities (Uncle Ben). Although there was the parallel story of Doc.Ock which at times felt unfocused and not to much concern, as filler to get the audience (mainly males) hyped again, I still enjoyed it. For lots of women (and non-Tobey Maguire rooters, e.g. me, he looks too much like Frodo, we discussed this after the movie), I think they would have really enjoyed this movie. There were so many human elements in it, so much so it could have been a really great, big-budgeted ROM-COM. Movie talk there. ^_^ It was hilarious too. My friends identifiying the funny parts as their favourite parts, the woman with the violin and the elevator-bit. Lovely really. In sum, really a delightful experience and pleasant and welcome change to the drivel of superhero movies (mostly made by Marvel) being made at the moment. 10/10
One question, why did all my friends want to see it? I've tried plotting for the past week to get them to see it. Nm. Didn't have to.

Observation I made on the same superhero line while we were driving to Richmond to get yummy Viet noodles.
Q# Why after an actress wins an Oscar, does she decide to do a super-hero movie?
Is it some after-party, celebratory bet they have with a close friend? "I'm so good, I can do anything now that I've won this..."

Meh. Examples: Halle Berry, 2003 for Monster Ball. Now she's making Catwoman, prophesised to be a disaster, just look to the trailer (Review soon, I'm a bit behind). And Charlize Theron, 2004 for Monster (woah! Two Monsters!). And, wah-la, she's making Aeon Flux. Although I must say...I can't wait to see this! I LOVED Aeon Flux. Although weird anime thing (even before I knew anime was anime) which totally disturbed me, I loved it. Woo!

Enough now. Enough. (guess the line!)

I'd like to rip you out of your skin
I'd switch us around

A Great and Terrible Beauty
By Libba Bray.

I finished it. Now my thoughts...
First off, gah. Isn't that a goregous cover? And according to my judgement, the story is unlike it, as I have been pleasantly surprised.
As an avid reader of Victorian/English literature, I have found Libba Bray's (whose name, I keep attempting to end with an h) work to be both subtley comical and delirious. Her send up of common Victorian boarding-school characters has smatterings of Bronte, Austen, Dickens and even Blyton. Such as, what the Americans copied off the British (exemplar: Mona Lisa Smile), the free-thinking, reformist teacher who goes against the norms. But instead of centreing it on such cliched themes, she focuses it on the girls themselves, alerting us to their desires, wishes, brutalities and loves.
Like Cassie Claire's review, I agree that the characters are definitely not lovable. Felicity and Pippa, who are introduced as the 'rhymes with witches' in the beginning of the book, are employed as a subtle niche in the plotline, Bray twists them instead into the best friends of the two outcasts (one being Gemma, the main character). The storyline although constantly resonating with magic, continues with the tribulations of school-life, which strangely enough can still be identified with teenagers of today, including myself, such as the search for personal identity, role of women in society, 'true' friends and family. The magic instead enhances and often propagates a liveliness, a malignant hilarity and fun that lightens the often sombre mood and takes of the girls and their lives.
I won't spoil the rest but reassure my audience, that this book was thoroughly enjoyed. As YA fiction, it was a splendid read.
While being very articulate (or at least trying), I should note that there are 'fan-girl' delights still to be found within its wonderous depths. For example, Kartik, the resident hunk. A very, very hot, brooding Indian boy who is out to protect Gemma. (Note Cassie Claire's very enthusiastic meeting with Bray). Personally, I kept thinking of Millet when I was reading this book, as I was coincidentally reading 'White Teeth' at the same time. Reminder: Do review of White Teeth when done.
Anyways, I give this book a lovely fat 9/10. It lost a point, for not giving a satisfactory conclusion. Circe is still out there, their friendship lies fragmented and despite the kiss, there is LITERALLY no Kartik/Gemma romance. Ahh...but there be a rumour that A great and terrible beauty is just the start of a wonderous trilogy.
Ah, but what nowadays isn't?

PS: Hmm, if you love Libba Bray, you can go stalk her at livejournal. Hanging around C.C.'s livejournal does prove propitituous. (I know what that word means, Mary!)
Stalk away. (Not literally, mind!)

Current Mood:AThat which doesnt kill you can still cripple, maim, torture, or otherwise cause you intense pain while still not making you stronger and only teaching you that that which doesnt kill you can still cripple, maim, torture, or otherwise still hurt. Dorky
Current Music: About her - Malcolm McLaren (the QT mix)

Well no one told me about her...
The way she lied
Well no one told me about her
How many people cried
And its too late to say you're sorry
How would I know?
Why should I care?
Please don't bother trying to find her
She's not there...

Another weekly rant.

Today was more or less interesting, in the finest sense.
I met Orlando Bloom.
Hah. Gotcha. Bet I did, if only for a second. Well I know I certainly got Mary (Mary: Liar...).
No, I went out. *big gasps* Oh I know. I [capital letters] WENT OUT. Yes, outside of the house. What a surprise? And tommorow, sis wants to go to Chaddy. *muses* Maybe, have loads of work to do and who knows...maybe I WILl meet Orlando Bloom. *lol* You know one day I'll laugh and then the next day, I'll see him, cough, sputter, faint, wake up and then he'll be gone. And oh, woe is me, never see him again.
But in the meantime, I'll laugh.

My Day...in the flashiest of flashes
6:00 Finally got to sleep.
7:00 Alarm went off.
7:05 Sound has penetrated RL rug and doona. Throw alarm at door. Busts and breaks.
9:00 Sound of mother. She is waking me up. Manage a scream that I only have to be up at 10:00.
10:15 Mother wakes me up. Freak out.
10:20 Still freaking out.
10:30 Out the door and to the train station.
10:35 Rush in. Buy ticket.
10:36:10 seconds Miss awaiting train. Stamp foot childishly. Attract embarassing attention of short Indian man.
10:51 Finally catch train.
11:05 Scared of drunk man who is talking randomnly to people and being an all around lech.
11:15 Race off train, lecherous man follows but not for far. He is too slow for my nimble wits. Nah, he went off to another station.
11:20 Alice leads us on long-tour (non-needed) around train station. Alas we make one big cycle. While a beautiful day, becoming slightly peeved as shoes hurt.
11:40-ish Carman arrives. The day begins. Note: Stomachs are grumbling.
12:00 Gone to food and the city, the new place down Elizabeth(???). While Carman, Anna and I sneak substantial food, Alice, Cathy and Sue dig in for smoothies.
12:20 As we are sitting on second floor overlooking the lovely view of the street below, gulls, pigeons and assorted birds decide to attack a lovely plate of food beside our table. Feeling obliged, we urge Cathy to make the birds, like 'my pants', split.
12:21 Laughing loudly. Although the difference is height and size is significant, Cathy is frightened by a petulant seagull and comes squealing back to our table.
12:30 Braving the worst, she has to her best efforts, braved the gulls (remind me never to let her watch The Birds by Hitchcock) and managed to bat them away, manfully. We laugh and chat.
12:31 Off to the second hand bookshop! Whee. Seagulls and food behind us. Feel slightly curdle from tortellini.
12:40 Carman, Anna and I huddle in corner of store, giggling at Mills and Boon. I read delectable, raunchy bits, unaware as to the adults walking by. Yes, we are by far the most childish teenagers alive. And I love it.
12:55 Sue is squirming at lateness-des. We rush along the walk beside the Yarra to Crowne. Why oh why must it be on the other side of Crowne? Shoes hurt like someone is sliding a knife in and out of my middle toe. I whine and ask stupid questions.
1:00 We make it. Too bad, big line. Cathy squeezes in and we make it to the cinema. However, slight confusion over food. Not a big worry as we make it into the cinema, having missed most of the previews, I am peeved. Nevertheless, we have missed none of the movie.
Sometime during the movie We run into Bec, Lauren and Sophie's group. We move.
3:10 Movie over. Toilets and discussion ensue.
3:20 After toilets, we admire troy poster. Sue mades suggestions about certain poster. I aprove admirably. (Involving cutting Diane Kruger and replacing it with a much more familiar head, mine, no doubt *primps*)
3:30 Sitting outside, eating ice creams and chatting about things. Nice and calm and splendid view of brown, murky river. Not too cold, not too warm, hence in the words of Goldilocks, just right.
3:40 We split. Anna, Sue and Carman set off home. Long trek for them and woe, their curfew is 5:00. Meanwile, Alice, Cathy and I set off on our own trek, to Myer's Miss Shop.
4:00 Feet are killing me. But I don't let on. Imagine what the women in China went through with foot binding! After furious searching, Cathy's eagle eyes fall on Alice's item. Too bad, it is a size 10, for a chimp. Even after inquiry, our mission has failed. I suppose, this should have been termed Mission: Impossible.
4:20 Having walked back, rush to catch train and make it, with time to spare. Have few worrying pangs but am on right train.
4:40 Arrive safely home. Slot in Zoolander and err...have a snooze.

Well that was pretty much my day, despite the fact that I am up at 1:00 am in the morning and writing this. It has nearly taken me two hours. I was detained for a while.
Anyway, I am posting again straight after this with more news. So...just hold that dial!

Current Mood:A priest, a rabbi, and a minister walk into a bar. The bartender says 'What is this, some kind of joke?' Cynical
Current Music: Jamelia - Thank you

You broke my world, made me strong, thank you...
Messed up my dreams, made me strong, thank you...

Yeah. *bops*

Em: You idiot!
Me: I know! I know! *blushes furiously*
Ames: Couldn't you tell, em has a very *distinctive* voice!
Em: excusa me, miss! what are u insinuating?
Me: *snickers quietly*
Em: mel...
Me: *verily verily quietly*

Yeah, having Em call me about four times in a day only yesterday and consequently freak out each time, I've been very quiet on the matter. The problem being that I had forgotten that I was to be recieving a call from my dear friend Anna.

Anna: Hi!
Me: *puts on weary-sounding voice* Em?
Anna: No...
Me: *head bashing* (Thoughts: Fucccccccccckkk!) ANNA! *recovers...hopefully*

Wah. Although I realise I have made a complete fool of myself...I am...er...oh god, I don't know. The fact is, they're not supposed to know about my other friends, their names, even of their existence. As for my website, well that could just be people I know over the internet, not close at all just people without voices, without a true, blobby existence. Not...important enough to...ring...me...up. I don't really know what I'm fussing about, but its like the inter-clash of worlds. Here I was expecting to talk to dear old emmie and I got a slap of Anna (not that it was bad, stupid damn insinuating words!). Read my website quotes, one of those explains it best. The clashing of worlds.
Anyway, this is all stupid. I shouldn't be fussing or worrying. Anna probably thinks its my sister's friend or an acquaintance. Bet yet, she's probably forgotten and I'm sitting here, fretting.
No wait, I do have a life. I PROMISE!

On the other hand, I am exceedingly angry at Em for making me read another LOTRPS.

Em: Oh mel, I know you love them!
Mel: Yes, I curl up in bed with one every night...
Em: OHHH! I knew it!
Mel: I was being S-A-R-C-A-S-T-I-C!
Em: *blinks* How am I supposed to tell?
Mel: *glares ominously*
Ames: *watches bemusedly* (Mel, did I spell that right?)
Mel: oh for bloody sake...

More soon...
