Current Music: The Scientist - Coldplay
Yeppers. New Mood Theme. I was sick of my other one, given it had no real 'moods' as suggested by Sue. So yeah, am changing it. And its all POTO. Isn't this sad? I'm so going to be un-obsessed in like a few weeks. Well as soon as the DVD come sout. 20 days and counting.
I can't believe I can't wait for this...and another 10 days for Attila. (Thanks Em!) Sad des. Given that I waited an entire year for LOTR, this should be a piece of cake.
That and ugh. None of Em's d/ls will download. Either she has shitty IsendIt (I'm an IsendIt!whore) or my broadband is fucked. GAH. There are sooo many!!! I checked out the caps from the Jap interviews Em sent to me, and they're sooo funny. Gah. Download will ya. If not, then I'll have to go watch Beauty and the Beast with my sister. *sigh* How ironic.
Anyway, preview of Mood Theme to come: (Hover For Mood!)

Am so depressed. Poto Rant. Checked out POTO dvd, and well...it sucks. There's some features but not many. And I can't find out if we're getting the extra special edition shipped over here, which is, GAH, irritating me. Although we always get the UK stuff, which is awesome, and yes, we did get the special edition two disc POTO cd but the DVD? *sigh* I don't know. Will buy anyway because I love this movie. Love it so much that I don't care THAT much about extras. But audition easter eggs and documentaries sound good. Especially since I do actually care for this one...just like LOTR. Oh...
Oh, and just a second, before I go. I have to ask, Em, you know, you find all of this stuff for me, awful fast and with surprising accuracy (I have nearly wasted a gig on Phantom stuff!). I keep wondering if YOU are indeed developing your own obsession. Well if you are, I will buy/copy for you POTO and send it to you since you never saw it and you can lavish affection and love all over it and of course POTO. Oh my darling...I was talking about you, Em. *loves*

Current Music: Its My Life - Talk Talk
Its a
Movie Post
so go away if you came here to hear the goss about my private life. But no...actually don't go away.
So yeah, its like foreign. And sooo old. (1952! Quite near Easter Parade actually) And the movie stars aren't famous, even for their time. But heck, I love it solely for the costumes...ahem, we'll get back to that later. Anyway, its about this beautiful, young Bavarian princess/noble (Russia totally screwed me up on that) named Elisabeth (of Bavaria) or better yet, Sissi. She goes with her mother and sister Helene to the Austrian court in Ischl, where her mother and the Emperor of Austria's mother have schemed to have Helene, Sissi's older sister and the Emp marry. However, when the prince inadvertently meets Sissi while she is fishing (?), he falls in love with her and wants to marry her. Etc. Etc. It only goes for 1 hr 45 mins and a great deal of it is mostly for the scenery and her very pretty dresses. Over all, for a film like that, made in its time, in a foreign language and country, its quite good and certainly memorable. Romy Schneider I adore. She's got a naked charm, a girlish sweetness but also a regal coolness (in the two later sequels) that begets her former self. The prince is quite princely...but so hot for his own time. And not for mine. He's too well groomed I think. While there is a great supporting cast, I really think it is Schneider who holds the film. And she does, with her smiles and little elegance. Apparently she is remarkably alike in looks, affectations and problems to the real empress. Ahem. Yes. So go see it. IMDB doesn't have much on it, which I'm quite surprised about. Then again...the U.S. until lately didn't take well to foreign films.
Okay, so I don't think I would have brought this up but yes, was sitting through this film, liking it more and more when suddenly this scene came up. Its pre-wedding and well...she's wearing this dress and hm...I wonder if I've seen it before?

And then it hit me. Where had I heard Sissi before? Here. Or here.

Yeah. I got a question for me. Why does everything always come back to POTO? WHY? Just when I had sat down, ready for a night where I don't a) cap b)icon c)watch d)listen and e) think about POTO in any form. Well thanks a lot.

New Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Pics.
Yeah, I got a few thoughts.
One, for fugly sake, CUT YOUR HAIR, Ron! And that goes for you too, Potter. Sooner or later one of you is going to pop up on 'Go Fug Yourself' and then where will I be? Yes, I will lmao. And yes, I know you don't know what that means. Hehehe.
Two, Fleur you look like a boy. Where are the curves? Where's the Veela sexiness? There's nothing there. And makes me believe even more that Ron really digs teh_boys.
Thirdly, Harry Potter doing the kung fu? You know, Elijah Wood doing that in Sin City was enough. I don't need to see you doing it too. HOpefully this is him falling off his broom and his hair breaking his fall. Hopefully.
Fourthly and finally, Miranda, darling, there are only two words for you. You rock. Rock you. Whether you be Queenie, the Queen of Hearts, an Evil Stepmother, Mme. Of The Only French Accent or Rita Skeeter (personally, I think you should have been the next DADA after this book's). Yes, you are too good.
Note: Hey, I am happy about one thing. Okay, not happy. Perhaps surprised. This is the first page full of comments I've been on and there is no sign of G-man icons. *goggles* Hm...I see trouble in our future??
~
Curious George is becoming a movie? Wtf? Indeed. I hated those books. I was more of a Clifford, The Big Red Dog fan. Poster here. And yes thank god, its animated.
~
Shyamalan's next...yep, another mystery/thriller about hmmm...a water nymph who haunts/infests a pool in some apartment building. Yep. That's it. And its called 'Lady In The Water'. Right. Moving on.
~
Nothing else really. Will post more later. Probably about partay. Or icons. (Poto! Woot!) Love ya.

Current Music: Cells - The Servant (OST Sin City Trailer)
So like, I'm posting more on LJ more often but now even less. I'm so behind in all my work. Really behind. But thank god for the break next week, can catch up and perhaps organise myself once again. Two assignments due in the week I get back but they're not that bad, just an analysis and a write up. Not a thesis and the analysis is not even comparative. Kinda like a commentary, only no language techniques. Funnily enough, I'm finding I'm employing my psychology evaluating skills more often when I'm analysing, especially during critical. Funny that. That, and some things in management I've actually studied before in Psych, for example, cognitive dissonance (which I believe my sister has right now) and emotional intelligence. Anyway, its woo because I all ready know that shite. Ah, management. You b.s.

Me: *sends*
Me: Well?
Ames: Hmm...he has great thighs.
Me: *is silent for a few moments*
Me: Wtf? Did I just read what I just read?
Ames: Pron thighs. Definitely.
Yeah. *Goggle* galore. She wouldn't explain. To me, he has romance cover thighs. Perhaps that's the same thing? Romance books are technically women's pron. Duh. Nevertheless, he is still sexy. In that older sexy way. He's more than ten years my senior. Then again, OB is that anyway. But he's still such a...boy.
~

Nevertheless, I really like the people I have met. They're all pretty awesome and I keep running into them everywhere.
But yeah...anyway, classes are all right. Although I'm behind nothing seems too stressful or too hard. A little bit like I.B. but I can handle it. You know, I came home today and just fell asleep on the couch for like six hours. That's disgusting. Nevermind. Bus rides make me sleepy. Anyhoo, back to classes. Like I've said countless times before Manangement is the 'bs'. My other subjects however aren't so easy. Accounting especially I have to do consistently because if you don't understand the concepts one week you're fucked. At least its less theory. Contract is about cases and theory and understanding and while there is a shit-load to read, I am still able to handle it. Offer, acceptance, formation of offer. The case studies might bug me though. Miller Airlines...Carbolic Smoke Ball...Mobil...gargh. *kill assignment* 100 pages. I die. At least this one is due in ages. As for intro, I'm possibly beginning to like it except my lectutrer can make me zone in like two seconds. He's soo boring and monotonic. Gah. So Uni, not so bad. Just have to get more in the swing of it and then more info and excitingness.
~
Saturday is the big party thing. I'm finally going to see the gang after so long. Which is great but I just have a feeling something terrible is going to go wrong and I'm going to cry and mope and everything will be bad. *sigh* Nevermind. It will be dinner at Plume with lots of people, some I don't like and then crashing at Carman's house for the 'after-party' full of drinking, games and apparently fun times. So yes, I can't wait. Maybe I can finally get rid of the vodka in the back fridge. Will post more info about it later. Wooh. When its happened of course. As for now, have to go do some legal process reading and prepare in advance for my contract lectuer. That woman is grating on me. So is her clothes. *sigh* I so need a POTO-plug right now. My day-dreams aren't doing it for me right now. *sigh* Neither is le ipod.

Current Music: Nelly Furtado - Try
So like, I'd post on LJ but hell, LJ is being a bitcah again. Nothing like the blackout of 2005 but hey, its pretty sucky. Considering that this is the first time I've decided to post in um...lemme check...gah! February 6. Woah. Its like March now.
Right. Am getting back into posty-time. I actually have two previous posts which I never finished, so they count right? Anyway lots to post about.
~
So this is like the second week of uni. And the second time this month I've spoken to Ames. Gah. I feel so deprived of late night MSN convos.
Ames: So much work? Fuck.
Me: Yah, I know. Shut up.
Ames: Fuckity, fuck, fuck, fuck.
Me: *sighs* I can't believe I miss you saying that.
Ames: Awww! Darlz!!! FUCK FUCK FUCK!
Anyway, here are my thoughts about uni:
1. You can totally be a loner in all of your lectures (I'm not but I'm just saying...) and no one will care...because there are at least two dozen other people who are also loners.
2. I'm suddenly more social than I think I am.
3. I can sit for an hour and completely not listen (not that I have to in management).
4. Oh for the love of a laptop!
5. Why must I make friends with boys who have the same names?
6. Also, all of them starting with L.
7. The blonde platinum white bitches still exist.
8. Cardigans and those velvet jackets are so in.
9. The Library is the Grudge!scary.
10. So is the other library.
11. Romance Books! *goggles*
12. I have good hair at uni. Its the whole wind swept thing.
13. I have trouble remembering everyone's names. (Me: It's not Chili is it? Girl: No, its Chelini. Me: Ohhh! Right. Sorry.)
14. For god's sake, shut up JASON!
15. The sequel to 'Laying Down the Law', 'The Law Gets LAIDDDDDDDDD!'
16. Oh for the love of an ipod/mp3 player!
17. I all ready have enemies. One stupid, fat, English bus driver.
18. Every week I travel 5 hours by public transport, and five hours in the car. This is fucked up shit.
19. Gigi is the most normal name I've heard this week.
20. Hugged and met Katrina twice.
21. Escalators. *goggles*
22. Amount of work! *faints*
23. Amount of bs! *swoons*
24. Amount of hot guys...er... *sighs*
There is something about being a uni student. Its still hitting me gently around the head. I AM a UNI student. Wow, I never thought I'd get here. (I've done this rant before, I know, I know.) Hit me while I was walking around both Monash and Melbourne. Kept hitting me whenever anyone made that 'woah' noise when I said I did 'commerce/law' with the exception of Lauren who just started laughing. So yeah, uni is good, except for INTRO in which case, I do not like. It hurts me. Hurts me bad.
~
In the realm of my nerdhood, my thoughts lately as I catch up on my all my fugliness.
1. I hope Kate Bosworth never EVER googles her name. The hate is GREAT.
2. I had four new e-mails from friends. I feel loved.
3. I really, really want an ipod from DODO world.
4. I would really love it if Orlando Bloom came with that ipod...but you know, that's delirious fangirl rantage.
5. Fuck you, Mr Pryke. Linkage is a word, thank you.
6. Wait...did I say linkage? I have a feeling it was another word.
7. Go Fug Yourself is being a bitch. Surprise.
8. Ahh. We add typepad and she goes back to being the nice ho that she once always was.
9. Cassandra Claire still has not updated. *sigh* I guess my silent plea didn't work.
10. This makes me laugh for some reason.

From the windows of Bloomingdales. Hmm...and I thought Harrods went all out when they do the Christmas windows. Woah. Apparently 300 out of the 2000 (wtf?) costumes used for the movie were handmade. Rightey-o. And they weren't even that good. Well except for the first one. NOT THE SLUTTY ONE, Ames.
11. And yeah, all three of them attended. Patrick Wilson still looks ugly without the hair. Butler is still frigging hot. Face completely intact (It took six hours to do his face-thing! WHat? I reckon it would have taken the WETA ppl half an hour. It only took them twelve to do the Orc Guy and that was like a fully body thing.) Ooh, that reminds me, we (Cathy, Anna, Me, Alice) were watching Blade Trinity and Cathy says 'You know, that guy (DRacula, the wrestler without a neck) looks alot like the Phantom'. Anna giggles and I fume and protest. EXCEPT I totally missed the joke, given that Butler has played Dracula before and looks nothing like him. Hmmph. He had longer hair. Raoul-longer hair. Hah. Oh, and Emmy Rossum is like still totally ugly. Its something weird about her face. Check out her Oscar Pics. Weird man.
12. On bus home, was singing in my head when I heard this 'thump'. All these people were gazing into teh aisle of the bus and I assumed that someone had dropped their purse...until the bus driver ACTUALLy stopped the bus driver and helped this tiny, bitty old lady get up...heheheh. Oh right, back to niceness and fandomy goodness.
13. How did I end up here? Am on the Emmy Rossum forums. This is a new low, Melissa. I thought the OB ones were low (but that's only because damien lewis was also on there, oh c'mon! That is sooo a clashing of worlds. Still weirds me up, man.). Anyway, am checking out these photos from one of the premieres...they 'supposedly' funny, just Emmy and Butler playing around with the cameras. They are actually quite funny although she looks like a twat. Anyway, I just realised he looks so much like Matthew Fox, its the whole grizzly thing. Anyhoo, I love what Euphoria said in response:
Awww, even if he's 17 years older than her....they make a great couple!
Gah. Seventeen. And I thought me and O.B. getting together (hah! 10 years baby.) was bad. Actually, Michelle Branche just married a guy who was forty and she's only twenty. There's still hope. Although she is such a twat. Yes, a twat, Ames, not that dreaded p word. Like hussy, also another word for a cat. Okay, shut up y'all. Oh and I just worked it out, she just turned 19 (I think!) which would make him...*counts*...35-36. Omg. That's not old at all. Please.
~
Okay. That's enough from me folks. I promise to update again, soon. Promise. Promise. Sending out my love to Mary and Em. You prats.
