Current Mood: Confucius say too much. - Chinese Proverb Curious
Current Music: Powerless - Nelly Furtado (OST Folklore)

Wow. Posting twice in one night is like...something I used to do...but never do anymore. Scary that.

Anyway, I had taken a break to watch some movies and found nothing of consequences. Hulk? I Spy? Indiana Jones? (Oh wait, I take that back...but it was raiders of the lost ark. Ending! Guk!)Ugh. So I switch to the 'Entertainment' Channels and like, by instinct, I check Parkinson's guest and omg! Damien Lewis is going to be on. Woo. That checking thing, which usually fails me...suddenly doesn't. SO yeah, I wait through Jamie who my sister thinks has too much tongue, thus the way he speaks, and some comedian guy called Bob Dee or something and then finally...after like almost half an hour waiting he comes on.

Its funny you know, if you've never seen the actor in real life, how much they can surprise you. Like I'd watched Forsythe I and II many times, and of course, in some twisted way of mine, I assumed that Lewish would be much like his character. Not funny, serious and certainly kinda haughty. He went to Eton for heaven's sake?

Ames: Really? I thought only royals went there.
Me: Well, there aren't really that many royals left.
Ames: Well what about all those lords and ladies who own those manor houses.
Me: I don't think they'd be able to afford Eton. It takes a rich buggery to upkeep one of those manor houses.

The same thing happened with Phantom too. I mean, I didn't even know the guy's name, let alone half his face, and I still loved him. So, when I FIRST saw him, which was Em kindly sending me Em and Gerry presenting at the Critic's Choice Awards, I was like...wtf? As soon as he started speaking, I was like...he's Scottish? SCOTTISH? I so did not get that from the film. According to one of those countless interviews, he was doing or at least attemping an 'English Accent', although I have to say his US accent is awesome, which is surprising given that so many Scottish or heavily accented actors have trouble doing other accents. I.e. Clive Owen in Sin city. Ahehehe.

Anyway, I'm off topic. So he comes out and the first thing I notice is like...his hair. Its so slicky and weird and frumpled, which is so the cool thing today with guys especially. I mean, Jamie looks like he's growing grass on his head. That and he's rather young looking. He's actually quite funny too, youngish acting wise and quite self deprecating. I loved it when he said 'We start off with this character drama and end up with aliens exploding out of your bum' (about dreamcatcher) which I thought was hilarious. That and he occasionally acts out things. Ahehehee. The Morgran Freeman expression, which usually I wouldn't like given that I luff Morgan Freeman. He talked about the Forsythe Saga too, which was interesting. About playing a villain that people can still feel sympathetic too. And that's so true. I mean, in some ways I hated Soames, he was such a bastard. But maybe it was my repugnance to how Ireney treated him (She is the disdainful Ice Queen!) or perhaps the fact that Damien Lewis is such an awesome actor that he can be a complete bastard and still make you like him, not via looks.

In those ways, especially, I think I may like him more than Gerry. Damien is a wonderful actor and it shits me he has to do crap like Dreamcatcher, which would usually be pretty cool but feh...the way he talked about it signified that to me, it wasn't good enough for him AND Morgan Freeman. I haven't really seen Band of Brothers, but take it from me, if you see Damien Lewish play Soames Forsythe in BOTH series and then see him in real life, you will be overawed. I know I was. He's not the best looking thing in the world, but he's got the thing and the talent and I wish him so well. I mean...it takes an awesome actor to make you feel sympathy at first and the love after a while. I really loved him at the end of the second series. Really did. There are few villains, who aren't sporting the hotness (hobo) who can do that.

Makes me question my luff for Gerry actually. Hm...off to make icons.

Current Mood: Those who dance are considered insane by those who cannot hear the music. - George Carlin Pleased
Current Music: Baby Girl - Nelly Furtado (OST Whoa Nelly)

I'm addicted to listening to Nelly Furtado at the moment. From her first album, Whoa, Nelly, which I can't believe I didn't buy. Idiot. To her second album, folklore, which is certainly more toned down but perhaps even more captivating and deep. I especially love 'Powerless' and 'Try'. But you knew this, didn't you? Though, I expect in a little while I'll begin to like the other ones. Hmm...maybe I should go icon my new obsession. Hee.

~

Yesterday was really nice. Really nice. I missed uni, in particular accounting so I could sleep in after the dreadful day I had the day before and so, I could go buy Atilla finally. Ahehehe. Well anyway....

I woke up at around 10:10, freaked out and ran to take my shower and then spent an hour pretty much listening to my mother rant at me for forgetting to take my overdue library books back and do my hair at the same time. I swear to god I burned my fingers at least four times. Bad me. Then, I hit the trams around 11:40, returned my books (cost me $4.50...goddamn!) and then jumped on the trams again. I got the city at 12:30, because the trams are soooo slow. There were so many people on them on a Friday at like 12??? Hmm...then I remembered that those stupid school kids are still on hols. *growls* We need more than one week. At least we'll still behave like adults...a little. Passed uner an archway of trees with bright yellow leaves. There was a wind too and it was so beautiful when this cascade of yellow leaves would fall down around us. Beautiful. Got to city at 12:30 in 28 degree heat (with a jumper on! Pah hah!), messaged Sue to say I was going to be about 10 minutes later and ducked into HMV to see if they had Atilla yet.

They didn't. *growls even more* I have to wait another 10 days, or at least till next week Friday. They ordered them in only a few days ago and that guy promised! Wah. So thinking of just going when I go get POTO. Also asked the guy if I could pre-order POTO without a credit card. He said, yes, but I shouldn't bother given that they apparently will have heaps. Didn't pre-order one but still felt a little wary. I don't trust these guys!

Then I headed out and WALKED all the way up to Melb Central, which given, isn't that far, but still I missed two trams and it was very hot. Finally got there and Sue started berating me before I distracted her with my ipod. WE went to lunch at Melb Central (also possibly because I couldn't be bothered walking to JB Hifi). I had half a salad, Sue had her smoothie and we just chatted for a while about stuff, mostly just catching up and other things. It was nice, we never run out of stuff to talk about. Then I called Anna to check when she was coming. We, I swear to god, said to meet her at 2:30 because yeah, it takes like an hour to get to the city. Sue and I decided to leave and just go shopping. We went to her 'store' which I have forgotten the name of. She laughed at me when I tried to shoulder a very small carry bag, although even she couldn't fit it around her shoulder. We then, having loads of time, took a tram to her uni where she showed me various things I scoffed at, until we got to the law building and I was like 'OMG'.

Anyone seen the law building? Its like woah, posh. Like an office building, and it looks weird when there are these kids in casual clothes just strolling around. Its so nice in there. And I am enviably jealous. Our building is so...dumpy. *sigh* Transfer. Transfer. Transfer. Oh shut up. So we stayed in there two seconds before Sue pulled me out again, to ride down in the 'speaking' elevators. We then walked back to Melb Uni, got a txt mesage from Anna saying she was going to be 20 minutes late, so got frozen cokes (instead of a coffee, I really wanted) and just sat down, talking even more.

By the time we headed back, it was nearing 3 o'clock. We met Anna under the clock who said that she thought we were meeting her at 2, therefore she had arrived at 2:30. So yes, she had been sitting, waiting for half an hour...W/Out calling (okay she called, but at 10 to 3). Meh. We talked for a while, and then walked around a bit. I finally convinced them to walk with me to J-B so I could check if they had it and so Sue could check if they had Charlotte Martin. I did, in fact, for her. And no, they didn't. It was either 'in the sales bins or they'd have to order it in'. I think I'll go check at Camberwell sooner or later...I really love her music. After that, I dragged them to the 'movie' section of JB where I asked about Atilla. Nuh. They sold out. AGH! What? What on earth is going on? And yes, it'll be in, in like 2 to 3 weeks. Fuck that. I'm going to HMV. There was this really good rom-com deal I found though, except I had three out of the five movies and the other two weren't that good. So, no. But yes, would make a good gift, certainly.

After that, Sue kept complaining she had to go home. So Anna and I bought ice creams which were put in rather silly styrafoam cups. And then we all headed off. So a v. nice day with lots of talking, laughing and generally nothing. Although Anna didn't get to go to her chocolate shop. Shiznit.

~

Re-watched the Incredibles last night. That film is just simply...incredible. From its storyline, to its character, to its amazing detail, to its jokes, to its references to other movies to just its general charm and loveliness. I loved it. Possibly my favourite out of all the Pixar movies. That, and I generally love the characters and not because they look cute. But because I feel for them. Which I think is something that is so lacking from Dreamwork's animation. Sharktale is teh_sux.

Btw, Jack Jack's Attack is just plain hilarious. My god, I don't think I've laughed that much in a long time. Hehehehe. Except for when I was drunk, but that doesn't count.

~

Ugh. Ugh. Daniel Craig is going to be Bond? Just let me keel over and die first.
*thud* Thanks. Gah. Gah. (He's from Tomb Raider? Wtf? And Sylvia. That guy! Omg! *Dies again*)

Oooh...that reminds me, somehow we're getting the movie channels...AND not being charged for it. Woo. ANd since that's happening...don't mind me signing off and going to watch them. Woo.

Current Music: Up All Night - Charlotte Martin

This has gotta be fast, because le OC is on in like less than a minute. I'm sooo slow. *hums* Okay...so what am I posting about?

Notes: Mostly girls. 1, 2, 3 is the always fab Miss Connelly, who I fell in love with in Labryinth. Finally a girl who stands up for herself, *cough*Christine*cough*. Although she can't remember some stupid speech about goblins and power and ew...David Bowie in tights. Oh it all just came screaming back. Come on David, this movie is for kids! And don't tell me your publicist convinced you to do it!
Anyway, 4 and 5 are of the lovely Miss Charlotte Martin who, like wow, I love her music. Sue does too. Its got a Tori Amos quality, I mentioned this before but won't go on a rant except to say, I LUFF 'Up All Night'! Woo. Oh and you can download some of her music off her site. So go.
6? A request from Alice, even though I've been meaning to do a Ryan Phillipe splurge for ages. You know, even now, he still remains hot in my head. God, guys look good in black sweaters. Well, tight black jumpers, not those stupid, dumpy, unflatteringly loose ones. *glares at Orly and Gerry* Fashion faux paus? I think so. I refuse to icon them like that. Although Gerry can pull off the open shirt much better than Orly. Orly, plz no more stripes. PLEASE! Thanks, darl.

~

Apparently I can't spell disappear. Or at least, it looks weird on the icon. Well talk about random thought...I have no random thoughts! Wah.

I was very bad today and skipped out on my SECOND accounting tutorial. Gah. So much work. And I didn't do any. Got the hell out of there and left Lauren and rest of group to fend for themselves. Not like I woulda helped anyway...but pah ha. I better do well on my exams. *thud* Oh god.

~

Mouth still tender and slightly swollen and hurting and like ow. Won't it go away? This is pissing me off. So is Mum. She keeps telling me to do stuff and I completely forget about it because I just tune her out now. SO many things are just so...what's the word...oh yeah, stupid. Yeah, that's it. *thud* I'm so going to fail law.

All right, gtg. Realised I'm rushing myself and am not going to finish post till later. Plus Usher's Caught Up just came on and I need to just like...be AWAY from this song. Be back later. *luffs*

~ 1 Hour Later ~

Back. O.C. was a load of clap trap rubbish. I'm disappointed that they're sinking so low...so fast. *sigh* Even the music wasn't that good. However, there were a few points that made me smile. Summer is just great. Especially when she's with Seth and they're trading off each other. I think I like them better as friends then when they were together. Then again they create that silent tension that is sooo good. And of course stops the obsessed Seth. I love how quickly he gets over Alex and moves back to Summer, even though the two of them like JUST slept together. Hah. Interesting, no? And Marissa, how sad are you? No, not only that. How sad has the show got? Reverting to lesbian on lesbian action in order to encourage more 'male' viewers, is just plain ridiculous. I know Hollywood can sink but really? This low? Especially for a show I liked. This type of sinking is reserved for teh_reality shows. Like the surreal life and Big Brother. Not for O.C. which is supposed to be our generation's wacky Dawson's Creek. Hell, its not even another generation its just...[continue rant into early hours of the morning]...and I complain about getting nothing done. I am sooo sad.

~

This morning was so cold. I was shivering when I walked out...blargh. And just jumped in the car. But was good though. I skipped contract lecture...oooh, that reminds me, must msg Rose. BRB...okay back. Fuck, I gotta learn how to 'msg' faster. I'm so pathetic. At least my typing skills are up to par. Hehehe. Thank you fiction writing!

Well went to accounting, coz that's one lecture I CANNOT miss. Sat with oh shit...I forgot their names again...oh yeah, Komal (there's a specific way you say it, but i forgot) and Jess, with the very curly hair. They're both awesome girls but sooo not from my general circle of friend-people. But I dunno, it sorta works, especially when I thought it wouldn't. I spent an hour of my time with them, just sitting in the sun talking and it was quite nice actually. I'm so surprised. Strange that, no?

Hm...other things. Yes, yes, you all know that I've been frequenting gb.net recently. I can't get enough of that guy, its weirding me out...well just a tad. And I met Claire H. there, which was weird and certainly strange, given that out of all the people I had to meet it had to ber. Not a bad thing. Just weirded me out a little. Anyway, am abstaining from GB things lately. I think I am too much obsessed...and he's seriously not THAT good looking. Oh god, I didn't just say that? Anyway, check out an icon of him I forgot to post.

Anyway, have to be off to bed. Nighties. Mum is doing the stalky thing now and yapping that I have to get to bed. Hell, she never did this year 12? I'm fucking 18 years old. *rants* *raves*

The Divine Miss B!, More Divine Miss B...just add my alias!, Not my favourite song but one of my favourite artists! My favourite song is They!, Aloha Miho! From Sin City, the she-devil with wicked katanas! Damn I want to see this movie!, Imogen Darling, another one of my favourite song artists! She's too good for words!, And a spirited away icon that turned out even more amazing then I thought!

Nope, darlings, no Gerry icons (ahh! I can say his name! No more hobo!). Am abstaining. Ahehehe...

Ames: Liar. Ur on GB.net right now!
Me: I am not, how dare you accuse me!
Ames: *sigh* Mel, how are you ever going to help yourself?
Me: Its not MY fault he was born/photographs/looks/speaks/acts amazing!!! Is it? Is it?
Em: I just can't believe you gave up Orly for him...
Me: I did NOT give up Orly for him. I still like Orly, just less so. I share teh_love.
Ames: I don't think so...I think teh_love or whateva is all on whats his face
Em: I agree
Me: Hmmpf...I don't
Em: I'd never betray froggie for another man
Em: AND certainly not an OLDER one
Me: Hey! Don't oldie up my boy!
Ames: Boy? Hah.
Me: And as for froggie, I got a bit of interesting info about him actually...

Ahehehe. Scared Em about her cannibalistic little maniac. Told her that 12 year old thing was creepy.

Em: He eats people?
Em: WTF?
Me: Well it is sin city and when one looks that creepy...what else does one do?
Ames: Ehehehe, goodbye Frodo.

Current Mood: You can't leave footprints in the sands of time if you're sitting on your butt. And who wants to leave buttprints in the sands of time? Hyper
Current Music: Finally Woken - Jem

My fingers smell like champagne. Funny that, (and I know, totally random) because I just 'moisturised'. Perhaps its that weird baby oil mum gave me. Hmmm...

~

On a totally, less random note...okay not SO un-random but am suddenly obsessed about making mood sets. Hence my second one, however still unfinished:

Thirsty, Sleepy, Hopeful
Content, Apathetic, Amused

Meh. Am not so pretty as POTO nor as varied in my expressions but hey, I'm getting there. I think Alice has extra photos where I look more dour. I shall go bug her sometime. Perhaps Monday.

~

Thanks to Cable, and the lovely channel 'Hallmark' I caught 'Earthsea' starring Shawn Ashmore, who I know a great deal about thanks to Sylvie, Kristen Kreuk who 'eeked' me in Snow White with Miranda Richardson and Warwick Davis, for goodness sake and of course, former A-grade actors, Isabella Rosselini and Danny Glover.

You know, for a while, I thought nothing could suck more than Mists of Avalon. I mean, come on! Michael Vartan as Lancelot? Could they get more crazy? At least Anjelica Huston, Julianna Marguiles and Joan Allen (ahha! She just hosted SNL!) were good choices and certainly better A-grade actors. Well at least more believable.

Earthsea has proven it wrong. I remember reading Ursula Le Guin's books and putting them down after the 'first book' because they were, yes, a tad boring. Okay, not in the realm of Tolkein-boring but yes, quite boring. And you think they wouldn't be? Given that they were about a young magus going through magus-school. More medieval, more crafty Harry Potter, perhaps? Plus all the beauty and serenit going into priestess making, all the while with a whole mystical background going on? Well she ruined it anyway, so I thought I'd have a go and see what they did with the movie. Well, nothing really in the movie did I recognise in the book and a great deal of it was over-hyped mash-trash. Ashmore cannot act, as wooden as Brad Pitt's ironic wooden horse acting. Kreuk irritated me, with her over-large eyes and her sincere personality that was so much the 'beloved' heroine. Meh. She was smacking of Snow White. As for the storyline, the kitsch side kick Vetch, the annoying rival, the turbulent king, the 'foreign' most venerable mother, the 'gibbeth' and the awful special effects, not much can really be said. I was terribly disappointed. Terribly. I expected more. Mists of Avalon actually started to seem good half way through. And Michael Vartan is WAY down on my list for Lancelot and three ways (I don't actually have a three way list but if I did, I don't even think he would be anywhere near it) along with Ioan Gruffud (for Lancelot, not three ways...ugh!). So yes. V. disappointed. Although I think I would have at least given it another point, had the two not kissed at the end. I mean, come on! They had met that same day despite the 'visions' they had constantly of each other. I mean, for most of the time, she thought he was an 'evil' wizard and suddenly she's like 'Ahh! Hot Canadian Central!'. Well I know, Sylvie would have been, and this girl is from Smallville (which has disappeared off our screens...hmmm...), so...gah, I've digressed majorly. It suxed.

2/10
(The 2 is for...hm...give me a minute here...oh yes, because I'm feeling fairly generous tonight. Yes. That's it!)

~

Two new icons because NOT getting that interview is frustrating the hell out of me. So yes, I iconned it thanks to captures at Em Ross's site. Fug, Fug, Fug. It looks funny. And there's something about lips and gayness. Gah.

I loved this picture! I thought it was cute as hell and would LUFF to know the story behind it! Who say's I'm not a Em.Ross and Gerry.B fan? Yeah, I know, I know...age diff!

Goddamn, I'm never going to get them. (Unless I post...hmm...)
~

Heehehe. Emmy Rossum made it onto 'Go Fug Yourself'. Ahh, you stuck up, pretentious twat. You deserve it and much more. Ahehehe.

More Hehehe. April Fool's Jokes NOT played on me *growls at Ames* are funny. Like Icopulate and Gmail + Infinity Storiage. Hehehe. But I have to say, the thread on POTO freaked me out the most. Disney version of POTO? GET OUT.

Enough. Have to get to bed. Big essay to write tommorow. Sux.
